I am an absolute food snob when it comes to Middle Eastern food. Shawarma Shack is CONSISTENTLY amazing! The meat, flavors, ingredients, toppings, and sauces are soooo delicious. My partner and I come here all the time because we can't get enough of it. Definitely recommend the chicken shawarma in a bowl. Make sure to add jalapeńo hummus. The service is also something that keeps you coming back again and again. The owner, manager, and staff are so friendly, welcoming, and personable. You feel so appreciated, remembered, and treated with the utmost kindness and respect. Win win overall!

My husband and I found this place on Yelp while we were on our babymoon in San Diego from Chicago! And I can definitely say that it did not disappoint :) We ordered our food to-go since it was our last night in San Diego and wanted to have time to explore a little more before we left. Immediately when we entered the restaurant, I can only assume he was the owner, but he greeted us and made us feel very welcomed in his restaurant! He explained how the menu worked, to take our time, and to let him know if we had any questions. I ordered the 'build your own plate' and got the beef kabob and chicken shawarma while my husband did the 'build your own bowl'. We also got a free baklava since we checked in on Yelp :) The food was delicious! The protein was flavored so well and not overpowering at all. The condiments and base (basmati rice) complimented our meat protein very well and we basically finished our meals with no complaints. If we're ever back in town, we'll definitely be back!

I popped in this shop during my lunch break. I ordered the beef and chicken kabob plate with yellow basmati rice, pickled veggies, and tomato/cucumber salad. This dish was so flavorful and delicious. I loved pickled things, so this was a nice addition. I also got the gyro fries, which was a surprisingly yummy twist! You have to eat this right away, or the fries will get soggy. Another item I tried was the chicken shawarma taco. This was also good, but my least favorite. They also have a variety of drinks and craft sodas available!
